Yes, if you click on it a couple times it drops down. I reported that one to Beat. For some reason, the initial click isn't opening it.

Hi,

I'm so glad this topic had been revived as I never found a solution to my problem either.

In Safari, the Search dropdowns just won't fire when clicked, unless I click multiple times. Many members of the site use Safari and of course are frustrated when attempting a search.

Edit: Current Joomla version 1.5.7 (but problem occurring since 1.5.3)

Latest CB version

Ok, I could:

- not reproduce in Safari on mac (that's why i left that unconfirmed earlier)

- but could now reproduce in Chrome on PC

So supposing that you were using Safari on PC...

Debugged that, and found that it's a bug of webkit, which is basis of safari and chrome !

Filed that to webkit bugtracker as bug 20969: Windows *only* (works fine on osX): select a dropdowns don't fire the click javascript event.

There is no quick fix unfortunately, but I implemented a workaround for next CB 1.2 version.

As this is not a CB bug, but a windows bug affecting webkit, i'm leaving this thread here, but as said, next release will workaround this problem.

Thanks for reporting and insisting :)

Beat,
Awesome investigative work! If the next 1.2 version is more than 3 weeks out, could you please share the workaround?
Thanks
PS-Yes, same behavior on Windows for BOTH Safari and Chrome.
