Have you looked at the modules offered by www.software4joomla.com ? Its not the same as a full member list, but for small sites or just a quick way to highlight a screen full of members, it might be adequate.

Unfortunately they don't offer anything that will help.

I do however, use their "profile completeness" mod and I highly recommend it.

yeah ... i have 180.000 registered users ... maybe your friend can offer/make some modules with pagination

Has any progress been made on this? Any new user-submitted extensons for this?
