I've create a user list and placed the e-mail field in column 3. The general settings are set to 'display e-mail form'. So far so good. When I point the mouse on the e-mail link in the user list, I see the task 'task=emailUser&uid=xx' in the status bar of the browser, but when I click the link, I'm redirected to the users profile page and have the task 'task=userProfile&uid=xx' in the address field of the browser.

Any idea what I do wrong?

P.S.: Installed version is CB 1.2 RC 2 with Joomla 1.5.3 in legacy mode.

I don't know if this will fix your error, but you're using an old version of Joomla, and they've done tons of bugfixes, including a HUGE security risk bugfix just recently. I'd recommend upgrading to Joomla 1.5.6 ASAP.

Jamie, thanks for your advice. It's always good to upgrade to the latest version anyway. However, unfortunately that hasn't fixed the error.

I think I have to dig into the code of CB. Maybe I'll find the root cause of the redirection there. So if anyone has an idea, where to find it, please give me a hint.

Are you using SEF?

No, I don't use SEF.

Maybe that would give a hint: If I open the link in a new browser window, it works as it should.

*slaps herself on the forehead* I think I know what's wrong. The email addy itself shows, correct? It's not a link. Any portion of the row for that user automatically sends you to the profile, where the email addy can be read AND email can be sent. That's why it works in another window but not in the member list.
