registration session expired and/or cookies are ..

Hi Beat,

the previous topic about "cookie expiration ..." was finally a little bit messy, so i prefer to create a topic dedicated to my problem.

During registration, the following message : "registration session expired and/or cookies are ..." appears in red just right after the user has entered a username and while the username automatic verification is in progress.

A lot of new potential members send me emails to know how to workround that issue. For the moment I have to create their profile in backend.

Do you have a solution, or a way to deactivate the cookie stuff please ?

Cheers

Well RC4 has fixed some things in this respect.
Would be good to upgrade to RC4 and retest and if problem persists post in RC4 area.

:(
I have done the RC3 update. With luck (i think), i didn't experience any crash of my site or of the plugins, cause re-install every single plugin is quite a work ! (above all if some of them like helloworld have been php customized)

Anyway,
let's see if i am brave enough to do it again.

Thanks

No need to unistall and reinstall.

Just use expert mode (described in upgrade txt)
