I also got this massege Session expired or cookies are not enabled in your browser. Please press "reload page" in your browser, and enable cookies in your browser. when i try to register new user from front end. after entering username and start checking if that username is available.

My test site is at address:
96.56.40.34:82/riptides/

Intresting thing when i connect directly to live server using:
htpp://localhost:82/riptides
registration from front end works fine.

I also tested in my local network same site on new server. Registration from front end over http://localhost/riptides and from another pc inside network over http://192.168.0.2/joomla3 works fine no session cookies problem.

I use Joomla 1.5.7 and CB 1.2RC3 upgraded from RC 1.2 without SEF(it's disabled).

Does anyone has solution for this problem?

RC4 installed in expert mode OK and fast !
"cookies" issue disappeared.
