How to remove users

I got about 700 users that are registered with a spam engine or something like that.
I want to remove them, i installed now the safety pictures.. That works great.
What is the right way of removing the fake users ?
Database ? Joomla users ?
And what do i have to do in Joomla, because i get an error ofcourse.. the databases won't match anymore between joomla and CB.

CB User Management backend - just use interface to remove users.

I thought of this solution:
Change there status in the database so they are all unconfirmed or something like that. Then i can select there status in CB.. is that an idea ?

You also can check the boxes next to the user(s) you want to delete in CB User Management and click delete, so I don't understand why you would delete just one at a time.

but there is no way to order them.. so i have to delete them all one by one..
