cbloginrc2 + smf-bridge was created by kawika
Hi,

Has anyone had a problem with using cbloginrc2 and the smf-bridge?

What's happening to me is when logging in, the normal joomla login module also logs into smf. When using the cb login rc2 it doesn't log into smf.

Just wanted to see if this was a known issue, my config problem, etc.

Thanks.

Hi, well I should have waited 15 minutes before posting. I figured out a hack to make it work. In the main joomla index.php file, around line #155, change;

[code:1]if ($option == 'login') {[/code:1]

to

[code:1]if ($option == 'login' || ($option == 'com_comprofiler' && $task == 'login')) {[/code:1]

If you would be so kind and tell us which bridge your using.
Orstio's SMF-Joomla bridge v3.19a
or
JoomlaHacks v1.02a
or maybe some other
this has been a problem for a lot of people and a solution will help a LOT of people

Thanks :woohoo:

Well I don't think it is for JoomlaHacks as I tried it on that and it still does not work. Thanks for trying though. Sure would be nice if someone would do a fully opperational plugin. I for one am getting tired of these half way working options for a forum. I think I am going to move over to JoomlaBoard as it is fully intigrated and fully functional, Just wish they had a little more going on in the way of updates/additions. If they would start adding more features I believe that this would sweep the field for Joomla forum oftware.

It is the Joomlahacks version 1.0.2a. If it doesn't work you might want to take a look at the login form HTML (view source) and check that the FORM tag is really going to something like:

[code:1]<form action="index.php?option=com_comprofiler&amp;task=login" method="post" id="mod_loginform">[/code:1]

If it's going to something different, that's what is needed in the if() statement.
