I want to know if CB or CBsubs is the right answer to my problem.

I would like to establish 3 levels of users:

1) Guests, who see the front landing page with no navigation to the rest of the site. I would like them to register with only a First Name and an Email address--no other fields--on the bottom of the landing page. Once they have given their name and email they are registered. No passwords. No other fields.

2) Registered, those who have given a name and email, would be able to see 5 or so different pages, including a sales page. They don't need any navigation back to the landing page. They could have a menu that shows these 5 or so pages.

3) Paid Members, who bought on the sales page, would have access to still more such as a download page, a forum, and some surveys. They would not really need access to 1 or 2 any more, just the membership area.

A) Is CB, CBsubs, or neither the right answer?

This is the site structure I want to build. It's a pretty straight forward structure, however, I am new to Joomla, and can't figure this out. I have heard that this is a weakness of joomla. Please help.
