Is there any news on the eway plugin. I to would be happy to pay towards the development of this plugin. For Australians, paypal is our only option and there api is not the most reliable.

We've no plans to implement EWAY, the next gateway in development is "Moneris eSELECTplus". Without a direct sponsor for EWAY (someone to pay for its development) it likely won't be implemented. Please understand it takes at minimal a weeks work of full time employment, this includes communication with the gateways developers, for a gateway to be developed; generally takes longer then this. If you'd like to sponsor the development of a gateway please see Beats reply below.

Hi Kyle/Beat,

I am at the stage where my client would like an estimate of cost/time to have the eWay shared payment gateway for CB Subs developed as part of his consideration of alternate subs packages. I note that the EWay organisation has already responded on this thread and indicated their support/willingness to assist. Also Akeeba Subs added the eWay gateway to a developer release in one day noting that the doc was good and connections involved were straightforward as far as gateways go.

Are you able to give an estimate of cost/time? Obviously we would prefer to share any costs around amongst others that are interested, but if you see no manageable way of achieving this then we are still interested in considering the full cost.
