If you haven't already done so please upgrade CB to 1.2.3 as it reduces memory usage by nearly 50% or even more depending on the situation. I recommend 64mb with CBSubs installed and 32mbs without CBSubs installed. So for your situation I recommend a PHP memory limit of 64mbs.

Hi there,

We are using the latest since it came out! THANK YOU for the memory limit, too.

SOLUTION

1and1 is a great company. The site worked fast and the client was impressed and excited. Their error log issue, is not actually an issue: again, the site worked BUT the memory allocated was not enough and this is why 1&1 generates the error. The only way to fix this, as they told me, was to upgrade the account so there is more memory allowed.

We switched to GoDaddy and the issue went away BUT GoDaddy is expensive, complicated, and SLOW. Those are reasons enough not to be there.

Anyhow, the plan is to get payments (the client) and people registering while I work the details in 1&1 with a copy of the site.

I hope this helps someone! B)
