CB Privacy was created by jhoefs
Hello I just purchased the CB Privacy add-on. I selected "upload package file" in the plug-in installation area.

It failed to install. Can you help me with this? Is there any information I can give that would be helpful?

CB: v. 2.1.6

Joomla! 3.8.8 Stable

Kunena v. 5.1.1

I paid for CB Privacy, and then the file delivered was plug_cbprivacy_5.1.0+2018.04.11.zip

I go to Community Builder -> install new plugin, select "install from package file" and choose the same .zip file I mention above.

The result:

Attachment not found

I also tried several times to update Community Builder, but it failed to show up in the Joomla! update list Joomla! -> Extensions -> update.

You do not have permissions to access this page.

Sounds like your Joomla account doesn't have permission to install plugins. Are you logged in as a Super User? Try installing CB Privacy through Joomlas Extensions > Manage > Install.

Download latest CB directly on our downloads page below.

Not sure where you got the "You do not have permissions to access this page." from, maybe that was an echo from our other conversation about the frontend.

Still has not installed.

In the meantime, I have another question. I am using JCE editor and have put a textarea on user profiles that I want to be like a blank canvas.

Currently they can drag and drop images, videos, they can style their text.

The page is a music page, and we will have a lot of musicians, so I really want to include .mp3's etc

Not working. Got the supported filetypes defined in Joomla and JCE, and still the dragged in .mp3's do not work.

Does CB have a file type filter? Are you aware of any working solutions for making this happen?

This is what it looks like currently. Those broken documents in the center are .mp3's that were dragged in, but do not work.

Thanks!

It's directly in your post above. I guess as the result of an image failing to attach, but I understood it as an error you were seeing.

Likely an embed or object tag, which by default are filtered out. You can whitelist tags in CB > Configuration > User Profile using the "Exclude Tags from Filtering" parameter. Also typically just dragging an mp3 into a text editor isn't going to work. It needs to be uploaded somewhere and properly embedded.

Please understand your support is for CB Privacy only. Any further issues that have nothing to do with CB Privacy should be in the general discussions forums.
