I've searched for this on the Joomlapolis forums but I couldn't find any threads.

It's quite simple I think. I imported my phpbb users to CB using the phpbb connector plugin - excellent plugin by the way.

Some of my users on the phpbb forum have names like r-M and nick-el-arse. These imported fine, but when they view their profiles, they get this...

I don't mind new registrations being restricted to to only A to Z and 0 to 9, but I want existing users to be able to keep their existing usernames (with the dashes).

Basically all I'm wondering is, if I allow dashes, will this affect CB or joomla in any way? I don't want to go and change it to find out it screws up another part of CB.

I havn't looked into how to go about allowing dashes, I doubt it would be that difficult. But if anyone knows off the top of their head what I need to do, it would save me some time
