I apologize if this has been covered previously, but i've been searching and cant find any suitable answers for my problem. Any CB plugin i try and install through the CB interface gives me the same error message:

Warning: copy(/var/www/vhosts/rockerpersonals.com/httpdocs/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/ plug_cbautowelcome/cb.autowelcome.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /var/www/vhosts/rockerpersonals.com/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/library/cb/ cb.installer.php on line 379

I've made sure all directories are writeable and I'm not sure what to do from here. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

I had got the same problem too at first, and solved now. I guess we both have similar ftp and web permission settings.

Simple try to close the Joomla ftp layer and then install the plugin again. Hope helps~

Yup, CB 1.1 problem due to a change in Joomla 1.5 API between an earlier RC and "stable"....will be fixed in CB 1.2.

I can confirm this works as well. Turn off "enable" FTP in the global configuration of Joomla, and your plugins will install.
