Well, it already uses the standard IDs and you can also specify a module suffix in the module settings. Nevertheless mod_uddeim allows to style some more elements.

does uddeIM have the ability to export messages from other PMS? my site currently uses JIM. i have been long planning to switch to a better and robust pms like this one.

You mean to import? Sure, most PMS can be imported. You will find a list in the README file.
