How to add extra field (say phone number) for public user while sending PMS to registered user.

I think this will be important hack for sending PMS from unregistered user to registered user....

Slabby...any thoughts?

Search for "public*" fields and add your own code whenever these fields are processed. You will find these fields in quite all files.

But I do not recommend to hack the code since you cannot update to newer versions without patching the code again.

waoh....that really is not a easy hack....public is almost everywhere

May be, I can use the subject field and rename the title to phone no. and pass this value in the message body....

can u put some light on it...how do I achieve that?

You could add a field to the form and add the content of the REQUEST variable after submitting to the message text.

That requires one additional field in the form, a getParam line at the beginning of public.php and one line in the save message function.

Sorry, since this is a very special hack I cannot provide further support for that since I have no spare time for individual changes.
