I am the only one getting "Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package." When I try to install this on Joomla 1.5 (legacy mode)

You have to unpack the package first. Then install the component and modules you need.

not sure if that what did it or not, ok so I unzipped the folder and i look around for an xml file and find in cb_1_1_0 folder the file mod_cblogin

I try to upload that and i end up with a msg that says "Unknown Archive Type"

So now what? wrong folder? wrong file?
i really feel like i'm flying blind here, the documentation assumes too much.

Yes, you are doing something wrong: You are in the wrong forum. This forum is about uddeIM and you are unpacking Community Builder. So it might help to ask your question in the correct forum.
