I would like users to be automatically connected to other users that selected the same values during registration.
such as:
user 1: selects registration field A and reg. field Blue
User 2: selects reg. field B and reg. field blue
user 3: selects reg. A and reg field red.
user 4: selects reg. C and reg. field red.
So...
User 1 would be automatically connected to only User 3 and User 2.
User 2 would be auto. connected to only User 1
user 3 would be auto. connected to only User 1 and User 4
User 4 would be auto. connected to only User 3
Is this relatively simply to do? any help is appriciated. thanks.

You could code this as a plugin. Just check field values on registration, compare these to other users and modify data in conncetions database acordingly.
mikko My FREE plugins: List Tab, Conditions, Extended Selects, ReadPDF, Consolidated Tab, Privacy Policy, CB Tab Wrapper Module, CB List Wrapper Module, Simple Sort, Filter Columns, Super Search, Advanced Search, Template Switcher. More info and downloads.
Check out a demo of super search and sortable lists.
My commercial plugins: Advanced Profile Control (1.0.6 stable released)

wow thank you for the quick reply, I will try this out tomorrow.
I just wanted to know the degree of difficulty of this, in my head it doesnt seem too hard. I'll update here how it goes.
Is there an Assitance guide online that I can use for reference as far as aiding me in knowing what to look for in the database? or maybe a similar plugin I can reference off of?
