Workflow module enhanced?

Hi Team!
Is there a way to modify workflow module please so it only shows when there are actually pending acions. Beacuse all new users ask me what that module is for until they actually have a pending action one day..
I woulld like to hide the module and only show it when there is an action that has to be taken...
Howto?

nobody ever thought of that?
It is really a pitty to waste the space for the module when it says no pending actions...
any help?
