Profile - Articles Tab - Articles not loading

On the user's profile, the articles tab is listing the articles that the use has written, however when you click on the article to load it goes to a 404 page.
Mousing over the article titles link I can see they all want to go to: index.php/?task=view even when I take the / out it's still not going anywhere.
This one is really driving me crazy Spent a lot of time trying to figure it out, but no luck so far.
Any ideas? Has anyone experience this before?

unfortunately a Joomla 1.5 bug where the sefRelToAbs rewriter drops parts of the url given to it...

Did u solve this issue, as it seems the SEF is not the issue?
