Missing Profile Image

I've spent the last hour searching this forum, looking for an answer without success. I appologize if it has been answered elsewhere.
Joomla: 1.5.0 Stable
CB: 1.1
Fresh install of Joomla a few hours ago with CB as the only loaded commponent.
When I upload a new image, it simply doesn't display from the front-end profile. Checking the file-system, I can see that there is a new image in the /public_html/images/comprofiler/ directory. I have also gone through the table and found an avatar entry associated with my account. In other words, the image is in the database and file system.
Looking through my code, however, returns the following string in place of the actual image.

This is producing a red X in IE. Everything appears to be in place, except for the final call to display the avatar in the browser.
