I have been having severe memory usage problems with my joomla site. So much that is crashes my server a few times a week. I'm on a dedicated managed server, but the down time inconveniences the other sites I host, obviously.
I was told that Community Builder can/could be a major contributor to this problem. But I'd really rather not have to disable or uninstall it.
Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated. I'd rather not have to dismantle my joomla site and start over without a CMS at all.
I am also running the latest versions of Bookmarks, Zoom and Joomlaboard.

I am having the same problem. I have less than 2000 members, and use Joomla, CB (+ MamboMe modules), uddeIM and Gallery 2 as the main components. The site crashes very often, on account of memory outages.
Any one with any views on:
Joomla/CB code optimisation
Issues with memory leakages cause by the code (if any).
Would really like to know because I'm using a Virtual Private Server now, and have been advised to go for a dedicated server. But going by ladylarke's post, I'm not sure if that is going to solve the problem.
