Which explains the on/off working state.
The result would be certain js components such as content editors not working properly.
Also other things that can effect this is firewall settings blocking certain js functions.
So i changed my live site path and everything went back to working order.
I didn't find this problem listed on this forum so if i over looked it I'm sorry, but i found the solution on joomla.org

I've had numerous problems with this www or not issue esepecially since 1.0.8 was released. Even joomlapolis has issuse. Just try to login from http://joomlapolis.com instead of http://www.joomlapolis.com.
Isn't there some way (via htacces or something) so make sure if someone types in http://mysite.com that it toes to http://www.mysite.com (I prefer the www).

ofcourse there is.. how else can you run a joomla website..
if you dont use htaccess to redirect to www. then you will have many users that have fucked up cookies and irratic behaviour in your session list.

Great Plugin!
Small bug: the age field is displayed when you position the status tab in cbPosMiddle or cbPosTabMain but it doesn't show in cbPosLeft.
