I am trying to install CB with Mambo 4.5.2. I am following the PDF version of the installation instructions.
On the install page it says:
media/ Writeable administrator/components/ Writeable components/ Writeable images/stories/ Writeable
But I get this error when I try to install:
Upload component - Failed Failed to create directory "/hsphere/local/home/kealalai/fibrotalk.info/mambo/components/com_comprofiler/"
Anyone have any ideas??
Thanks for any help,
Kealalaina

We stopped supporting Mambo. However, i don't think this is related.
You seem to have ownership problems where the FTP user and the webserver use different usernames.
Try to chmod your directories by ftp to 777 (again)
Else you can contact your host, they can sure help you with ownership problems thats what they are there for DJ Trail. CB Co-Founder & Test-Lead. Ummm, this is not related to the specific problem of this topic, but to Trail's comment "We stopped supporting Mambo".
There's been a lot of publicity on the site relating to the stable 1.0 release and its usability on either Joomla or Mambo. As a Mambo user, that's terrific. But it concerns me going forward if CB will not be supported on Mambo.
Should I just not bother with CB before wasting my time?
Certainly there seems to be some animosity between Joomla and Mambo, but one would hope that these add-ons could continue to be made available for both environments.
Surely it's in CB's interest to have as wider audience as possible, regardless of the platform.
I'd be interested in you comments.
