I suppose I'll start this thread just to see who all is interested among the Joomlapolitans here.
Check out the following thread discussing a pretty cool little flash games component with user scoring capabilities.

Trail is our local expert, so I'm sure he can add a great deal more to the conversation, but in any case sound off if you are interested.

I use the old Mambo Flashgames component and have been for well over a year. I have been looking for a very long time for a set of new flash games for my site that will store User Scores on the site (infact the users of my site have asked for new games numerous times)
I am aware of the component that uses Wrapper to port some flash games to Mambo/Joomla from another site...But I dont want to have the games plastered with ad's for product crap that site has (cant remember the site, nice games but it kept asking "create an account and play unlimited games" blah blah).
I am 100% interested in this one. Can some clarification be made on what the difference will be between the Commercial and Non-Commerical? I am gladly willing to pay for this package as long as it intergrates with my site and the scores/info for users are stored on my site.

I have been updating the component on my dutch site so the version on joomlaflashgames actually is a little older.
No big things changed.. it now keeps better track of who plays what game.. on joomlaflashgames the site doesn't know you are playing a game untill you scored once.. then other users can see you are playing the game and start joining you.. too late.. then on joomlaflashgames when you start playing a new game the other users still see you playing the old game and are trying to 'live battle you'.. untill you score in the new game.. on JFG you are only deleted from the gaminglist when you leave the page or stop scoring for 60 minutes i believe..
The enhancement at djtrail.nl was making this tracking more accurate.. it logs you as not playing a game at the main game category page (while selecting a game).. and at the main page on my site.. then it starts logging you as being active on a game if you startup a game.. your score says 'user has just started'.. this gives a much quicker notice to other users who want to multiplay a game.. and 'just started' sounds even more inviting to join that game..
Well yadi yada.. iow's its a nice private hobby project

Well I'm surprised there's not more of a response on this. Oh well. I'll make this post to try and bring it back up for people to see.
Trail -
I've installed the hacked component provided by Retseem on pnflashgames.com and I am wondering, when you come out with your gamehall plugin will this work with that component or will I need to make some upgrades or simply get the newer component you are working on?
