Hello,

Today I installed phpbb 2.0.21 (versio upgrade since yesterday)
It seems that phpbb connector 1.0.2 is not fully compatible with this new version.

Use with 2.0.20 is fine (on my test site)
When I try to open the Plugin Window of phpbb connector on phpbb 2.0.21 it gives a blank screen and that's it.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Severe,

Have not loaded 2.0.21 yet... so have not tried it yet... I will let you know what I find out... You save it hangs on the plugin window... is this the control panel? or the user profile?

Hi there,

Just updated our test forum to 2.0.21 with our new version of cb connector that we are working on, and it works without errors. You said you saw a white blank screen? is is probably because you have php error_reporting turned to hide warnings. Can you enable error_reporting so that you can see the errors? and then tell us what the errors are?

checked php.ini
Corrected to E_ALL

Now i see what is wrong.. I think it's something with the DB:

Code:

SQL errorDB function failed with error number 1267 Illegal mix of collations (utf8_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_unicode_ci,IMPLICIT) for operation '=' SQL=SELECT count(*) as total FROM (jos_users as j INNER JOIN jos_comprofiler as cb ON j.id cb.id)

Going to correct this first... I guess then it should work just fine

For some reason collation of the phpbb tables were different than the main database. Corrected the table collations, installed the connector and all works.

I guess case solved

Hey guys I tried installing it too.. But I dont get it to working..
Everytime I click the Control Panel.. I get the pop up which redirects to the admin page..
Ijust want to export the users from current Jommla 1.0.10+CB 1.0 installation to phpBB 2.0.21 installtion.
And then stop using Joomla.. Once its done..
