How does the required field work not at signup?

Dear Community Builder team,

I appreciate CB very much and have been using it for 2 years. I found some fields extremely important and should be required field, yet I do not want the signup form to be long to discourage signups.

I found that I am able to make fields required yet not required at the signup page. I am just wondering how it works because after logging in to the account and without filling in the required fields, I still have full member rights. That way required fields are still not filled in by members.

Is there ways to limit member rights if they don't fill up the required fields? (for example, limit the member's ability to view other member's profile.)

"Field are characterized as optional or required, publicly viewable or not, required during registration or not."

maybe when acl is added to joomla
