This thread discusses the Content article: Upgrading from CB 1.0 RC1 to RC2

What's about user-avatars?
Must I save them, too?

Bye, Stefan

No need to - I believe they are kept.
But as mentioned - you should also start by taking a backup!

OK OK OK. I BACKUP. However....
I have Big Ape Backup and run backups prior to changes but I cannot find any documentation on how to recover from a backup.

Is there a procedure somewhere that explains how to recover from a BigApe Backup file? Is it possible to take a backup of a site using BigApe and recreate the site including the DB on a new site?

Just delete all your files on your server first. Then unzip the file created by bigape backup on your harddrive (with winrar or 7zip) and then transfer all these files on your server via ftp.

Just be careful with bigape backup. Sometimes buggy. I don't use the database backup.

I'm working on migratin a Mambo 4.5.2 to Joomla 1.0.8
I have set up at joomla test-site, with a copy of my mambo production DB. The mambo site have CB 1.0, unsure witch rc, the install indicate rc 1.

I follow the instruction in the article, but I get this error message:

Code:

1.0 RC 1 to 1.0 RC 2 part 3 failedSQL error:«»DB function failed with error number 1060 Duplicate column name 'reason' SQL=ALTER TABLE `mos_comprofiler_membersADD `reasonMEDIUMTEXT default NULL AFTER `membersince` SQL = ALTER TABLE `mos_comprofiler_membersADD `reasonMEDIUMTEXT default NULL AFTER `membersince`

I can see the memberlist backend, but the tab-, field- and list manager are empty.

Sombody have a solution?

Update: I put inn a fresh copy of my DB, and u/install CB again, I get the same error message, but now I get all the list, field mamegment!
