I am having difficulty using this hack. I believe I have implemented it correctly, although given the fact that it's not working, I believe it's not. I am wanting a 4 column layout for small avatars and names underneath them. I've attempted copy and pasting this code directly into the html file, with no success

For me zephhk's hack works perfectly.
zephhk:could you please elaborate on how you managed to get user names underneath the thumbnail? Using the hack you posted, my user name is displayed on the left side of thumbnails.

After taking a closer look at zephhk's implementation, the user names were actually within the profile images, so it was not in the table.
By using the CB list management and rearranging the name & profile order, I managed to adjust the layout to meet my requirement.

I suggest you try the actual hack described at the beginning of this very thread first and then tweak your CSS in comprofiler.html.php accordingly.
