German Translation doesnt work

Hi everybody,
i installed CB 1.1, and i installed the german translation 1.0.1. the problem is that the cb is still in english!
so i guess that the translation isnt compatible to the cb 1.1.
Can some1 do me a favor and update the german translation. or maybe can some1 help me, if it is a diffrent problem?

I have the same problem. I use Joomla 1.5 RC4. Other components like DocMan and xmap has the problem that they looks for a language file called "German" and the files namend "german". Perhaps here it is the same problem.

Renaming german to German (Folder and File) fixed the Issue here.

hmm. Which directory?
I´ve installed Joomal 1.0.13.
Then i tried to install both formal and informal via the cb plugin manager - but no success. all descriptions are still in english.

Hi,
is there any really working german translation for the new joomla 1.5 final ?
I tried all - really all kind of renaming, big/small letters, germanf, germani and so on - it still remains the default english in the frontend.
No chance.
To the people who are more familiar with the translation: it would be a great thing to bring new joomlian people to work with joomla instead of wasting hours and hours for some "small" changes like the default language.
If you can handle it on your systems - so please bring it also finally to the public, even if they are only changes like small/big letters - there are too many options to change these things for beginners - and finally - they`re not working on the most systems.
I found this topic - how to change the default language - here in the board over and over again, not only for german..
Thanks to all who are working hard to translate - but please publish it so that it would be also useful.
