This thread discusses the Content article: What is Community Builder

Very basic questions (from the CB Readme)

Install comprofiler as a component
Install cbloginRC2 as a module
Install comprofilerModerator as a module
Enable the cbloginrc2 login module
Disable the standard Mambo login module
Add a new user menu item for comprofiler
Add a new user menu item as a URL and point it to index.php...

I have no clue how to do these things. Are there instructions somewhere which explain how to do these things? Did I skip an important class?

You might try the Documentation in the downloads area. You can access it here http://www.joomlapolis.com/component/option,com_docman/task,doc_details/gid,17/Itemid,36/

These are all Joomla/Mambo related issues - if you have no idea how to do these you will probably have many problems going forward.

I have looked through most all documentation and I am having a difficult time finding a recent administrator document.

I have the old one and the screen shots are different, i.e. configuration manager (Version 1.0 RC1)

Is the functionality the same? If so I will use it.

Thanks

About 2 weeks ago I knew nothing about Joomla. Now I'm almost finished with my first site.

Here are some Joomla Tutorials that really helped me out.
