I'm trying to make sure all the moderator options work for my site however I get emails that state that there is a new action that needs admin attention but I can't figure out how to find it. For example i registered a new user but they have to be approved first... I can't find anything that lets me approve them without just doing it through the back end. I figure a lot of what i'm missing is in the comprofilermoderator module but I can't figure out how to set up this module if that is the case. Any help would be appreciated. I have read the readme and the extra documentation and did not find anything useful but I may have skipped over some stuff.

In the default install, it's in the dropdown menu of the new user's profile from the front end when you are logged in as SA.
