Does anyone know what happened to Mikko and the support for his development?
I recently paid for Advanced Profile Control, in the process of developing and needed support, however he and his site http://www.mikkosoft.fi have disappeared. This is not good and a poor reflection on a very powerful and impressive dev community. I have wasted time and money and am now at a stand still because I can't seem to find an alternative to Advanced Profile Control.
Please help!
Does anyone have any suggestions of a way to segment profiles into two groups? Trying to have a profile with certain tabs for one group and a set of separate tabs for another group.
Does anyone have any extensions that could help me out with this?
Please excuse me if this is posted in the wrong area, as it seemed most appropriate for APC like functionality.

Received the following message which may help some folks needing more profile control.
there are two coders at www.joomlashake.com that are working on a new component (PROMA), that works similar to the old APC. They say, that this component will be released in the next two days.
At the beginning, two versions will be there. Both versions are for CB 1.1 and Joomla 1.0.x. One of this versions is for a fresh installation on a Joomla site, where APC wasn`t installed before. The other one is for websites, where APC is installed until now. With this version you are able to import all datas of the old APC, so you haven`t to do your configuration new.
After this release, the team of www.joomlashake.com will work on a version for CB 1.2 and Joomla 1.0.x. This will come out soon.
Please register for free at www.joomlashake.com, so this guys can inform you in the next days, when PROMA is out!

Is the joomlashake component the only other alternative to having different profile types during registration?
I tried clicking on the registration demo, and it threw a fatal error. Something about the licensing.
I dont want to spend 40 bucks on a component that will have the same kind of support that the APC component did.
The CB development team promised this sort of functionality in the 1.2 release, does the 1.2 release have the ability to get different profile types during registration?
