Users unable to update Profile

I have read about this but so far have not seen a solution.
As the admin I can update anyone's profile.
However, after a user logs in and attempts to edit their Profile - they get taken back to the HOME screen and their changes have not been applied - it's as if they never even made the updates.
Can anyone send me to the solution or provide one???

As a subscriber, you have access to 1.2. CB 1.1 has a long bug list. Upgrading would likely solve this problem as well as most other issues.
