This is a modified Germani Languagefile which should work if your Joomla1.5 has German Language Informal installed. The File is installed as German cause the German Informal of J1.5 is not declared as Informal only as German with a capital "G". Although the text is converted to Utf-8 to solve Problems with "Umlaute".

Deutscheversion:
Dies ist eine modifizerte Version des deutschen Sprachfile Informell.Diese Datei wird als German installiert, da die deutsch Sprachdatei von J1.5 nicht als Informell declariert ist, sondern nur als German.
Außerdem wurde der Text nach UTF-8 konvertiert, damit es unter J1.5 keine Probleme mehr mit den Umlauten gibt
