Apostrophe in name not escaped (1.0.8 and RC2)

Apostrophe in name not escaped (1.0.8 and RC2) was created by eahoefler
Joomla version 1.0.8
CB 1.0 RC2

I have a user whose last name is O'Connor.

When she enters her name, it displays correctly in the backend/admin panel, but in the frontend it displays like this:

O'Konnor

I'm using the default language file (English). Is this a bug in CB, Joomla, or some other problem?

No one has any help for this? I've searched the forums, but haven't found anything helpful.

Can anyone at least point me to another thread ... some documentation ... a hint? I've been looking, but haven't found ....

This problem is solved in 1.0 stable coming soon now.

Sorry, can't give simple fix for that, as it has been a rework.

Any chance you could pass along that fix? I have a big launch coming for a client and I'll need to have it fixed... could use your wisdom - if possible.
