Example:
During registration, a user is asked to enter "Company Name" . There will be an option to restrict this info to just registered members or to public too. i.e. some members will choose to let the public view his/her "Company Name", while others don't wish to.

Been searching for a plugin/workaround in vain. Is CBSubs the solution? The conditional fields plugins mentioned in this forum seem to be tackling a different situation.

Appreciate any help.

Privacy plugin offered to CB Documentation subscribers sounds like it will solve your use case.

Glad you liked it.

Thank you for supporting the team as a doc subscriber.

Should take advantage and read the documentation and also see the new Doc-Subs tab in your profile (and the new membership icon also).

Hi! Would CBSubs also be the solution to always have a userfield accessible for the public?
Can't find any settings that make userfield values (such as company name) shown to the public in a public user list.

Huh? You can already make a field publicly visible; just be sure it's on a tab that has public access.
