Hi Morktron,

I think I got it after a lot of tries and errors with JCE 1.5.7.4 (Joomla 1.5.20, CB 1.2.3).

I gave up trying to modify the two given sample goups for that, I unpublished both and made two new ones.

Now I use two JCE Groups, one for guests and registrants in frontend an one for admins in backend.

The options I took are:

1. Group for guests and registrants (Priority 1 - seems to be important), the group has in my case ID 3)

Setup: Components - Choose from list = Communtity Builder
Types: Guest (highlighted)
- Registered (highlighted)
Layout: create a restricted Layout (pay attention to the editor width)

Publish and Save

2. Group for admins (Priority 2 - seems to be important), the group has in my case ID 4)

Setup: Components - All components
Types: -Administrator (highlighted)
-Super Administrator (highlighted)
Layout: create a full Layout as you like (pay attention to the editor width)

Publish and Save

Don´t know why but now I have a restricted layout in the registration form and in front end profile editing by registrants.

Admins have full access to JCE functions from backend to write articles, bot not more.

In other functions, i.e. backend editing of user profiles, field descriptions and other the admins are restricted like guests and registered.
