Logging in issues

Logging in issues was created by cwhitlock
When someone logs in, sometimes, they are faced with a message that says something about that they are not a member or their account no longer exists. This is the problem.

This doesn't happen with every log in, and actually, they are logged in.

Why does this message appear when a member is actually logged in? And why does it not do it every time?

I am wondering if it is a cb login issue.

Sorry, never heard of such a scenario. Could you please provide steps to duplicate or the exact error? Sounds like a users session is simply expiring.

I created a test log in, so that I could experience what other do.

Sometimes you will see the front page when you first log in and sometimes a blank screen will show up with the modules on the page.

It used to have an error message, but I took it out, so my clients wouldn't get confused.

You can try to duplicate the problem if you want. It sure would be nice to get this fixed. My husband has been frazzled over it, and he is pro IT.

Your login is redirecting users to index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=userProfile&user=0 which is not a valid location.

Please ensure you've a Community Builder link as public and published on a Joomla menu (the module it is on does NOT have the be published) as you appear to be missng this mandatory link.

Also ensure the login redirect in your CB Login module is set accordingly. Please also check the registration tab of CB Configuration to ensure the first time login is not redirecting to an invalid location.

Thread does not appear CBSubs related; thread moved. B)
