It appears they've an uncleared float or are floating elements without concern for clearing them as that is what is causing the images to display oddly.

That may be the reason. On the template´s css, when I change some float comand it fixes (deleting it of changing it to 1px).
Maybe this is not an easy question so you dont have to answer it: What could this float thing affect in the rest of the template? Only images?
Or maybe you can tell me what are we talking about (php? HTML? java? etc?) so I can see if I can figure it out myself

I cant ask my template provider because I got this one like a year ago and my subscription is expired (yootheme).

Found the solution:
in com_profiler/plugin/user/plug_cbgroupjive/plugins/cbgroupjivephotos I opened the file cbgroupjivephoto.css
There in the paragraph:I just deleted the line heigth:130 px.

Still checking if it didn´t mess something else up but it seems to be working.
