[SOLVED] strange error prevents payment was created by michaedt
My users are getting the following error via a pop-up window after they enter their credit card information using the authorize.net payment gateway. CBsubs 1.0.3. Website is www.collegetheology.org.

The payment process freezes and users cannot continue. Please help.

The onscreen error is as follows:

Indeed very strange. Wondering how that input code could be repeated, there is no loop for writing that.

You have only one auth.net gateway active, right ?

I've done a test-registration on your site, username beat, waiting for your approval, so that I can see how the credit-card form appears on your site.

Thanks for letting me help you by seeing the page with the issue.

Looked at your page html source. It's same issue than on this thread:

www.joomlapolis.com/component/option,com_joomlaboard/Itemid,38/func,view/catid,88/id,119040/#119040

You have added hidden inputs in your site seal that you have set in CBSubs backend for displaying below the credit-card form...

Forgive my ignorance, but how do I "Edit your site seal in CBSubs backend and make sure the html code is clean as the site seal is inside the credit-card <form> in CBSubs 1.0.3."

Where in the backend? I deleted the trustwave site seals from the regular part of the site (which didn't correct the problem), but I'm not sure what to check/edit in the CB backend (I assume you mean on the server, not in the admin section of site).

Thank you so much for tracking this down...I would have never found it.

As edited in the other thread:

to edit the seal:

CBSubs -> General settings -> Credit Card tab

That's where you have that strange html code : see it with html editor off...

Yes this solved the problem! Thanks again.
For those who might have a similar problem, it turns out that the problem is rooted in the JCE editor (I was using version 157, which I think is the most recent). It inserts the following code every time you open an article (or plugin)...anything that uses JCE:
[code:1]<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden" /><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden" />
<div id="refHTML"></div>[/code:1]

If you open that item more than once, it inserts it again and again, which is what happened to me. Every time I examined the plugin (which didn't have any visible text), it added another line of this code. I turned off my editor and deleted the code from the sub component per Beat's instructions (and ALL of my articles, modules, and plugins).

In short, beware if you use JCE. My clients love it, but I'll have to figure out what is causing the odd behavior.
