Hi there!

I am trying to install the captcha plugin (v2.3 with community builder 1.7 and Joomla 1.7.0) but get the following message when the install is complete:

Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: No such file or directory in /homez.34/cognitio/www/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbcaptcha/install.cbcaptcha.php on line 47
/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbcaptcha Failed to be chmod'd to 755 please do so manually!
Installation finished.

I have looked at and made sure that all permissions in the folder are 755 but every time I access the plugin I get the following message:
"Direct Access to this location is not allowed."

I have found several similar old messages in the forum but with no answers.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem: I had CB 1.4 and tried to install cb_captcha 2.1 which gave me exactly the behavior described above. Then I upgraded to CB 1.7 but I still have this behavior. Any ideas?

OK, my problem is solved. Somehow I downloaded cb_captcha 2.1 instead of 2.3. with 2.3 it seems to work...
