I just purchased the Ajax text field plugin (version 1.3) and have updated to CB 1.7. on Joomla! 1.5.15. When inserting the Ajax text field the user can edit it but after saving it the user can't access the data. The text field says (in German) that the user has no access to this site (see screenshot).
Did some further testing on it. When I edit the Ajax field through 'edit profile' it is possible to do changes to the field which are also displayed correctly. When I change with the field entry whith the Ajax functionality it tells me that I'm not allowed to access the data.
If the user is Super Administrator it is possible to do the change. Something with the rights management isn't working properly.
Joomla version 1.5.15 as stated in the first post. No changes to ACL.
I assume the plugin is buggy as I can change the settings with the same user (registered) but only with the workaround by editing the options and not through the Ajax field.
Is there an older version of the plugin I can try? I saw you released the new version a couple of days ago.
I changed the front-end language to english. Problem still persists. I attached two screenshots one shows the try to edit directly in the ajax field (which is not possible) the second one shows that it is possible to edit when going through the 'edit profile' functionality of the same user.
