I have been unable to get Mass Mail working in CB 1.2.3. I'm running Joomla 1.5.15.

Mass Mail works OK in Joomla but I want to be able to use the segmentation provided by CB to send to various User Groups.

All appears to work i.e users are selected, the mail can be written, and the system advises that the emails are being sent ... but nothing arrives.

Do I need to turn off the Joomla Mass Mail system somehow to activate the CB one? Most grateful for any help since this is proving very frustrating.

By the way the automatic log-in eMail responses and password reminder system does not work either - presumably the same problem.

What is your Joomla configuration for mail. SMTP? PHP Mailer? etc... if no CB email is working then something is misconfigured.

Thanks for the reply. My Joomla mail is set up for PHP Mail, the sendmail path is <</usr/sbin/sendmail>>

I'm a real novice at this game so appreciate your help.

Please ensure you have a valid FROM address specified. Sendmail path does not matter for PHP Mailer (but set as empty just encase your host has path specified). Please also ensure within CB configuration on the Registration tab you've a registration email address specified. I also recommend upgrading to Joomla 1.5.20 as you're 5 versions out of date. If none of the above helps please review debug procedures within help us help you from my signature.

I've upgraded to 1.5.20 but still Mass mail does not work. Can you please say a little more about what you mean by a valid FROM address. I have tried several options here without success.

The CB mass mail system seems to be sending a mail, and confirms it has done so ... but nothing arrives. Is theer somewhere I can look to see Sent mails to see what is happening.
