I have several textarea fields that I have placed in various tabs within my form. I have the tabs set to display as "Button with Sticky overlay".

When a user enters text in the textarea field, everything works correctly, unless they enter a carriage return. Once a carriage return is inserted into the text area, it generates a javascript error in the page and clicking on the Sticky button does not display the information in that section.

Is this a bug? I searched but could not find anything on it.

Glad to help.

Where does that leave me in the mean time? I have many textarea fields in my profile page.

Is there a suggested fix that I can put in the javascript for the short term? Please? I'm getting desperate here to get this project completed, but I keep hitting bugs.

Change tab display or review CB core code for a potential fix (CB is open source).

No, I just confirmed the bug about 2 minutes ago.. can't possibly expect a fix proposal in that time frame. Below is the bug ticket of the issue, watch it for a patch or any updates.

Can you please tell me where this code is being generated. It would save me some time in hunting it down, and I may be able to help find the bug. I just need to know where the code is that is generating the big batch of javascript for the stickys.

Thanks,

Steve

I have fixed this problem in my code base. I will attempt to post the correction in the bug ticket as wel.

The problem is in the /\components/\com_comprofiler/\plugin/\user/\plug_cbcore/\cb.core.php file.

Line 101 reads:

[code:1]return str_replace( "\n", '<br />', parent::getField( $field, $user, $output, $reason, $list_compare_types ) );[/code:1]

It should read:

[code:1]return str_replace( '\n', '<br />', parent::getField( $field, $user, $output, $reason, $list_compare_types ) );[/code:1]

The quotes around the \n should be single quotes not double quotes.
