If Joomla couldn't provide what I was looking for, I went somewhere else.

The uploader and Joomla are totally seperate.

I used a seperate http upload php script set. From that a person could upload their songs. Once they upload, I drop an auto-generating XSPF playlist php script into the folder, and provided them with the URL to the script. Once you input the script URL into the XSPF profile player plugin, it plays like a gem. Plus, if they upload new music, it regenerates the playlist.

I currently have a few users streaming their playlists to their homepages and myspace accounts as well. All they have to do is upload the song to my site, and it updates their players wherever they are for countless players. Kinda like a central hub

Its not automated, but its not a pain either. It takes about 1 minute to get it set up per user and I only have to do it once. And, if my site goes down, their MP3s will still stream via their playlists.

So, there ya go. My big secret. Not all that great, but it works really well.
