Is there a way to get the com_frontpage to not show the items that the newsflash is showing?

Shouldn't you be able to list the secion and category id's of content you want to show up?
I think I did this before but I had to install a new frontpage component. I can't remember which one but I got it from joomlaya.com
Here is the category:
