Currently I am using Zoom for my site's events gallery, this gallery is on its own, accessible by the administrator only.

If I install the Zoom Plugin for my site members to upload their own pictures, will this plugin affect my current gallery?

I do not want my members to access the current events gallery but yet they can upload their own pictures from their own profile page.

Any precautions I have to be wary of or documentation on how to go about doing this?

Kindly advice.

Thank you and have a good day.

I've been needing this too. Nant, who is on the CB team wrote a plugin that does this. It was installed on this site for testing but they took it down. Not sure when it will be available. Maybe with CB stable?

Heres the thread discussing this plugin:

Thank you for the advice and link.

Perhaps I will need to create an account under admin and reload all my events photos under this account.

Hopefully a compatible plugin will be available soon.

No problem

Check this out too. Someone is working on Coppermine. I'm hoping they add it the ability for users to have their own private gallery. I havn't read that thread in a while so I don't know what's going on.

Actually I think the first post eludes to private galleries

i think it resolves your problem:

unshare your gallery and make it publik. it works for me.
