additional field import

additional field import was created by BrocktonDave
I have been testing CBJuice 2.0 and had a few questions.

I ran a test with adding 4 accounts, and using the pattern that is in the "about screen" (username, password, firstname, lastname, email) it worked fine.

My question is...

Can you import additional fields?

I have an existing site, and I would like to add over a thousand accounts. But I would like to also import the current post counts, and the register date. Is this possible in the file?

I tried creating my own import file and it would throw errors.

If it's not possible, then I'll figure something out I guess, but it would be nice if I could.

Let me know.

Thanks

I've seen other threads where additional fields are edited, does this mean that only the edit mode supports additional fields? Do I have to upload the basic information (the last post) and then edit additional fields?

Maybe I'll try that. If I try "adding" additional fields it gives me a header error at the first new field.

Do I have to edit the php script to add the additional fields?

No, the add mode supports additional fields. Just remember though that ADD only makes sense if you supply AT LEAST, name, email, userid. However, you can add any fields in the add run.

OK, I'll do some more testing this week. Do these fields need to come first, followed by the additional fields?

can you only import into a specific table?

I did:

Username, password, firstname, lastname, email, forumposts, registerDate

The errors start at forumpost

I made sure I spelled it exactly as it is in the MySQL table but it tells me the error in the header is at forumpost.

I tried importing it as text, and as a number and both times it didn't work.

As long as you make the field in CB Field manager, it should work.
