I have a specific case where I would like the user to select a group during enrollment. If that could be built into the integration, that would be super. The only other option I understand right now is to create 51 (U.S. States and D.C.) sub-options of a general plan, each pointing to a particular group (that is, once the integration is available).

I hope I am being clear, but it's kind of like a custom field type or something in Subs, which is "pick a group"...and/or "use GroupJive field as dropdown options"...I think that the name field would be ideal.

If there is some other way to implement this in Subs 1.1.2 and GJ 2.1, I would love to know. I could picture an SQL Action, but there would have to be some PHP to match the State from the custom dropdown to the Group, it seems.

Yes, no idea when. Am suspecting shortly after Joomla and Beyond.
GJ 2.3 stable (currently RC2) will feature various auto-join capabilities in addition to an auto join integration which allows adding/creating groups/categories after registration or profile update with a field condition (optional).
