I am trying to set up groups in a Joomla 1.6 site with CB. However, being pretty new to this I don't really know how to get started.... I have successfully installed the component and plug-inns but what now? I don't see anyway to let users create their own groups.

How do I get started with this without a manual?

Urgent help is REALLY appreciated...

I guess, from your brief description, that you haven't created the GJ-menu yet? If you haven't; just klick the url seen in the controlpanel of GJ. I believe/hope your problems will be solved by doing this.

I did create the menu, and the back-end group creation works, but how do I make the users create their own groups? I want to make familiy-members create familygroups that other members of the family kan be part of. So how do they create groups from the frontend?

You might have tried this already but in the config of GJ you can set the "create group" parameter so that members are allowed make groups. You find this setting under the group-tab.

It was enabled but I don't see any button or link in the GJ menu allowing a registered user to create a group

Sorry I didn't answer you yesterday; had a very busy night at work.

So how's it going?

If you still have problems; do you have "panel" enabled? I think (at least on my setup) this is where members find the link to create groups.

Well i'm going to enjoy the last minutes of sun outside, but I'll check in on Joomlapolis in a short while.
